We all want that Air India must reach to it's initial glory and pride and once again depict India as a symbol of art , culture and hospitality at the international stage .
The problem comes from the system. Highly educated and intelligent people are required to work under uneducated people like Rabri devi. Sonia Gandhi will decide who shall be our prime minister. To get the votes write off businessmen loan, farmers loans. Our system provides for No educational qualification for MLAs and MPs , IAS officers have to work under elected reprentatives. Most of the Politicians want to make during their tenure. System fault.
Good explanation. Though privatization comes with its negative points, giving AirIndia back to Tatas is a good decision because JRD has left behind a fine legacy of policy making. Industrialists who care for the people and want to ensure that whatever they do benefits the country and not only for self profit as is the case with other businessmen who only work for their self interest. I think the nation too is happy that the Tatas have bid for what was originally their company. Good for the Tatas and good for the Indian citizens.
Government of India should privatized all loss making companies ..... In my opinion only businessman know how to operate a profitable business , Govt only focused on welfare and Infrastructure .

Salvador Dali who designed Ash Trey for Air India was a very famous artist.
He never used to pay hotel bills after having food. Instead of money, he used to give autographs on bills.
Which later hotel owner used to auctions or sell it.
He knew the value of his autographs hence he became the rarest person who never paid bills for food in any hotels.

At the end, you have righly said: it does not depend whether an organisation is government driven or through private entity. It all depends on the right decisions at the right moment and managerial capabilities. Hence hoping for bright future of Air India so that it can compete well against other international airlines.

As per me in India, it's makes a huge difference when something is privatized..I have grown up in an environment where if we knew we have to visit a government office of get something done, we had to be ready for delay, face arrogant government officials, corruption, Improper communication , compared to a private organization. Although things are improving but in India still people go for a government job for the facilities and comfort, not because they like that job or want to grow in that field. This has to change.
